"I’m running to bring Clarksville a government that’s accessible, community-driven, and focused on building a city that works for everyone."
Brian has spent his life serving others and working to strengthen the communities he calls home. After a 22-year Army career as a Signals Intelligence Collector and Arabic linguist, Brian retired from the Army and continued doing what he’s always done best: stepping up where he’s needed.
In Clarksville, Brian wears a lot of hats. As an educator, he helps students learn to solve problems, build things that matter, and see themselves as future engineers, innovators, and leaders. As the City Council representative for Ward 1 and Mayor Pro Tem, he continues to be a steady voice for smarter growth, safer streets, and a government that listens to the people it serves.
Brian is deeply involved in community life, from supporting Habitat for Humanity, to representing the city at local events, to helping residents navigate everything from neighborhood issues to infrastructure challenges. He believes leadership is about showing up: consistently, humbly, and ready to work.

Brian is running for mayor because Clarksville is growing fast, and the choices made now will shape the city for generations. Brian wants to make sure those choices put people first: communities where families can thrive, streets designed for safety and connection, and infrastructure that keeps up with the pace of growth. Above all, he wants to make local government more accessible and responsive, so every resident feels seen, heard, and represented.
Brian and his wife, Jennifer, have deep roots in Clarksville. Their three children, Anthony, Aeden, and Erica, all graduated from CMCSS schools, and the Zacharias family continues to invest their time, energy, and heart into the place they’re proud to call home.
My goal is simple: a Clarksville where it’s easier to get around, easier to be heard, and easier to build a good life.”
