<h2 style="text-align: center;">The problem is simple.</h2>Clarksville Transit runs eleven bus routes. Every one of them goes through downtown. If you need to get from Sango to St. Bethlehem, or from North Clarksville to a job on 41A, or from an apartment on Madison to a class at APSU, you ride downtown first. Then you transfer. Then you hope the connection still runs.In a city that's grown 25 percent in ten years and now covers over 100 square miles, that math doesn't work. A 15-minute drive becomes a 75-minute bus ride. The last bus runs too early for the second-shift worker. Sunday service barely exists. Whole neighborhoods have no stop within a reasonable walk.

<h2>"I’m running to bring Clarksville a government that’s accessible, community-driven, and focused on building a city that works for everyone."</h2>Brian has spent his life serving others and working to strengthen the communities he calls home. After a 22-year Army career as a Signals Intelligence Collector and Arabic linguist, Brian retired from the Army and continued doing what he’s always done best: stepping up where he’s needed.In Clarksville, Brian wears a lot of hats. As an educator, he helps students learn to solve problems, build things that matter, and see themselves as future engineers, innovators, and leaders. As the City Council representative for Ward 1 and Mayor Pro Tem, he continues to be a steady voice for smarter growth, safer streets, and a government that listens to the people it serves.Brian is deeply involved in community life, from supporting Habitat for Humanity, to representing the city at local events, to helping residents navigate everything from neighborhood issues to infrastructure challenges. Above all, he wants to make local government more accessible and responsive, so every resident feels seen, heard, and represented.Brian and his wife, Jennifer, have deep roots in Clarksville. Their three children, Anthony, Aeden, and Erica, all graduated from CMCSS schools, and the Zacharias family continues to invest their time, energy, and heart into the place they’re proud to call home.
